Eater – A Look Inside Black Rabbit, November 2017

Chef Trey Cioccia’s second act is now open, as Black Rabbit began service this past weekend in downtown’s Printers Alley neighborhood. And Eater has the first look inside.

Located at 218 3rd Ave. North, the 3,800-square-foot restaurant and bar, designed by Kathy Anderson of Anderson Design Studio, is built around history, housed in a property dating back to 1890 and named after a now-defunct New York speakeasy. And the interior features plenty of vintage and tongue-in-cheek details, from the entryway piano to the signage for the men’s and women’s restrooms.

The 122-seat interior offers a variety of options, including a large bar, high-tops, spacious banquettes and a living room area. An additional 25 diners can find room on the patio located just outside the restaurant.

So, take a look around, and be sure to hit the tipline with any first impressions.
